Hooray I get to post again!!

I have been dying to post again for two days, but I have been working like crazy.

I finally got my altered rolodex cards done for the December swaps in the forum.

The Cherry bling is for the advanced swap group I am in, here it is

and this other one if my Retro Christmas pull out altered rolodex card.

The quote is a pull out under the words Merry Christmas- unfortunately it was blurry, and I really wanted to post for you all.

Oh and I also had photos of my altered Maya Road Gift tins that I made for my family. I think they are so cute. I put in my famous Peppermint/chocolate brittle (no big secret- not my recipe) except for me adding the most delicious Peppermint hersey kisses this year.

There are 3 tins- Not too fancy. Tin #1: Notecard s from Melissa Frances vintage cuts paper, and the paper is more recent, sorry I used it all up and cannot remember the manufacturer. Let me know if you recognize it.

Tin#2: I used a light wash of Tim Holtz alcohol inks-meadow, then some older Flair Design poinsettia paper. I cut out some of the holly leaves and the holly berries and popped them up on adhesive foam strips. Then added bling by using Gold Stickles Glitter glue.

Tin #3: I did not prime the tin, and knew that it would flake, I also did not use a clear finish on it, since these are temporary and I knew they were not going to be kept by the individuals. I brushed on some of the Tim Holtz Crackle Finish, this is link takes you to a similar product to give you an idea. I heated it with a heat gun to get the look. I used some older sticker and popped them up on the front and added some bling again with Ruby Stickles Glitter glue.

I hope you think of other great ways to create with packaging and do some recycling. Which reminds me if you like this then you will want to check out the contest this month on the site. I would love to see what other people come up with.

I just got in the new Two Scoops packs from Basic Grey!! Yummy!! I even got one of their new Swash Clear Stamps, cute new rub ons alpha and words, glazed brads and buttons. Now what to make with it???? I think these would be great for any occassion, lovely and the names are perfect for the papers too.

The next thing I want to do for you all is create some fun word art for you to print off onto vellum, transparency, canvas or cardstock. If you have any favorite phrases you would like me to try out please leave me a post here and I will do my best.

On top of the phrase list is a special one for my Moderator-Masonsa1mom. She uses the phrase "Cool Beans" so I have a plan, so she can put it all over her layouts. Ok, so leave me your favorite phrases, I will work on them and then get them into a downloadable link for you with clear instructions (simple).

Happy New Year, I hope it's off to a roaring start for you all.

LOL Cool Beans!!! LOL

Also say Dude all the time (everyone in my family is Dude) or Oh My Goodness.

Your tins look wonderful. I am creating my recipe tags with my sons new Spin Art machine and using paints and Tim Holts crackle paint (the pretty blue). It's just too cool.

Oh that's another word....Too Cool!!!

Awesome!

I could go on and on!
