I think I need a scrapbooking psychologist!

I have been mulling around for a week trying to decide what layout to do, what pictures, which papers and elements and find myself stuck. The cute Maya road purse albums, the shaped albums and specialty books seem to be calling me. It seems almost simplier to do an altered mini ablum. Why? I ask myself can you not just do a layout or two?? So thinking a little deeper, I think well if I do a layout and later decide I should have used different papers or did the photos differently then I would need to do it over and it will be a waste- ACK!! What is my issue?

Any of you have this happen?? Now if your opportunity to try out your computer board psychology out. What do you think? what should I do? I am surrounded by products, books, sketchs and of course fabulous designers and layouts on my site and elsewhere- could it just possibly be design overload??

Well, I at least finished one layout for my DT at Dragonflairstudios this last week. It is made with Fotosusu's A New Day kit. Very pretty and soft and some great papers and elements, I hope to get another layout done with it in the next week. I also picked up French Ruby's kit called Tropical Cocktail at Dragonflairestudios and have a digi layout started.
Here is the one with A New Day - Called "J", by the way this is my brother.

Ok ladies lay it on me-psycho analyze me??

Yup I think you're on over load! I am too! Whenever I have this problem I go to my stash and try to find something fun and new that I forgot I had! Once you get past that first layout you'll be ok :) I love the butterlfy on that layout! That is some fussy cutting! :)

I'm not really good at psycho-analysis but I do love that LO! Great job.

I know exactly how you feel. I usually go shopping and buy magazines or visit cool sites like this one for inspiration. In the end it is the small projects that get my bigger albums done. I recently finished a Love Album (Bo Bunny) and was so pleased with it I have done a few other layouts for my bigger albums. The little projects keep me motivated because they give me a sense of accomplishment.
So sit down pull out everything you want to use on your project and "make do" with what you have. (if you are like me, I take out more than I ever use..but the boundaries help.) Then, go for it.

Okay, that will be $5 for the psycho babble. :)

Thanks for sharing your inspirational work. I love you layouts.

LOL Thanks Meridith, you and Nessa are both probably right. Just have to pull things out. I definitely pull out way more than I use, but it helps to have variety.

just love the sweet baby page, turned out sooo adorable... on those days I just start thumbing through the gallery or organizing my stuff, then before you know it I find something I have to use on a page.. and back in business!!!
